Melomakarona are a classic Greek cookie recipe dipped in honey, and topped with crushed walnuts or almonds. They are traditionally made during Christmas and because they are dairy-free and egg-free they are perfect for periods of Orthodox Lent. These are some of the most popular Greek cookies. They are nutty, spiced and have a hint of orange flavour.

Melomakarona are soft and moist, flavored with classic holiday spices and soaked in honey syrup.
